The present charter describes the policy of treatment of the personal data collected by LEMAIRE on the site with your agreement as well as our rules of use of the cookies during the navigation on the site.

1. Personal data
LEMAIRE respects your concerns about the privacy of the personal information we collect. LEMAIRE is thus committed to protect and guarantee the security and confidentiality of its customers' personal data in accordance with the GDPR, in particular by taking all necessary precautions to prevent this data from being distorted, damaged or accessed by unauthorized third parties.

Technical security and management measures in accordance with the state of the art, in particular with regard to information systems, have been implemented. However, LEMAIRE does not control all the risks associated with the operation of the Internet and draws the attention of users to the existence of potential risks associated with its use and operation.

LEMAIRE collects personal data to record and process your orders, for the creation of your personal account, your subscriptions to the newsletter and the management of your relationship with the customer service.

When placing an order, LEMAIRE collects the following personal data; first and last name, e-mail address, telephone number, delivery and billing address, and means of payment which are necessary for the processing of your requests.

The information that is mandatory to allow us to process your orders or requests is identified with an asterisk on the collection forms. If you do not fulfill these mandatory fields, we will not be able to process them.

The personal data collected are communicated only to the service providers of LEMAIRE who, as subcontractors in the sense of the GDPR, intervene and contribute directly to the management of the orders and the customer service; such as logistician, payment provider, technical service providers of the site.

The management of the orders and their payment imply the transfer of data in third countries outside the European Union - such as Canada - but which ensure an equivalent level of protection.

In order to combat fraudulent payments during online purchases, the payment service provider implements a procedure for risk assessment and fraud prevention using algorithms.

Data may also be transmitted to third parties when you have given us prior consent to such transmission or when LEMAIRE is summoned at the request of a judicial authority or any other administration to transmit such data.

The customer's personal data are kept only for the period strictly necessary for the purposes previously stated.

According to the GDPR, the customer has a right of access, rectification and opposition to his personal data.

You can oppose the collection of your data, you have the right to access, rectify, update and delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, you must contact LEMAIRE by e-mail at: customerservice@lemaire.fr or by writing to the following address: LEMAIRE, 11 place des Vosges F-75004 Paris.

The answer to the request formulated on the basis of one or more data-processing rights and freedoms will be sent within one month from the reception of the request.

The customer may, in accordance with the GDPR, give instructions regarding the use of his personal data to define how he intends to exercise, after his death, the computer rights and freedoms in accordance with the GDPR.

2. Rules for the use of cookies
