LEMAIRE IN VIETNAM – AN EXHIBITION
After its debut in Paris, a sense of place, a sense of time, a sense of tune makes a stop at the Hannam flagship in Seoul. This series of photos and videos, taken by Osma Harvilahti in Vietnam, feature the Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
The exhibition extends the idea of a journey through and with clothing – across layers, colours, and materials, converging upon the feeling of freedom elicited by adventure and movement. Osma Harvilahti focuses his lens on Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. The photographer, attuned to the passing streetscapes that we live in and which live within us, observes how people and their clothing form an intimate geography of the city.
This series is an extension of trên yên xe, meaning "on the saddle of a running vehicle" in Vietnamese, a photographic journey made by Harvilahti in 2023. Half notebook, half optical illusion, a sense of place, a sense of time, a sense of tune invites us to enter into the flow of images, to journey up and down roads and bridges in pursuit of individuality and mysterious cinematography.
PREVIOUS EDITION IN THE PARIS FLAGSHIP
a sense of place, a sense of time, a sense of tune was the second exhibition to be held in Elzévir. Displayed from 26 February to 17 March 2024, the photos and videos echoed the LEMAIRE collections: eminently modular, rich in influences, and inspired by daily life.
